PROJECT PARTICIPATION

You do not always have to be an INNOVA member to participate in an INNOVA project.

Membership and project participation are separate relationships. Each project states who may participate, what the participant receives, what commitments apply, and whether membership is required.

Member + participant

Co-operative member rights plus the rights and benefits attached to the specific project.

Member only

Full membership rights, but no project-specific benefit from a project you have not joined.

Non-member participant

Where the project allows it, receive the approved project rights without becoming a Co-operative member.

Know exactly which relationship you are entering.

These three positions are deliberately different.

MEMBER + PROJECT PARTICIPANT

You have both sets of rights.

  • Member shares and one-member-one-vote governance rights.
  • Member notices and General Meeting participation.
  • Project-specific economic, service, access or surplus rights where the Charter provides them.
  • Project-specific commitments and limits also apply.
MEMBER · NOT IN THIS PROJECT

You remain a member — not a project beneficiary.

  • Keep all normal membership and governance rights.
  • Can access other eligible member programmes.
  • Do not receive this project's distributions, benefits, allocations or participation rights merely because you are a member.
NON-MEMBER PROJECT PARTICIPANT

You participate only under the project terms.

  • Possible where the specific project permits non-member participation.
  • Receive the project rights stated in the Charter or participation agreement.
  • No INNOVA member vote, member shares or general Co-operative governance rights.
  • Membership-only benefits remain outside the project relationship.

What can project participation give you?

The answer is project-specific — never a generic promise.

Economic participation in a pooled project where the approved Charter creates that right.
Possible project surplus or dividend entitlement where the project's approved terms provide it; no guaranteed return.
Service, access, subscription or use benefits where these form part of the project model.
Participation in productive assets or infrastructure without assuming that one participant owns one specific physical unit.
Clear project-specific rights, commitments, limits, exit rules and eligibility defined by the Charter or agreement.
Project reporting and participation information according to the applicable governance structure.

Interest is not ownership. Payment is not automatic approval.

Every project moves through a governed participation process.
