Inside Lishumi
A concise guide to the framework, principles, behavioural change and participation approach behind the movement. Full source documents live in Documentation.
The framework
Lishumi begins with people, households, enterprises, organisations and communities as they actually experience life: across many systems at once. Its framework connects capabilities rather than treating every challenge as an isolated programme.
The movement is Swati-rooted and African in expression, but designed to travel. Participation should strengthen individual agency while increasing what becomes possible through connection.
Core principles
These are executive summaries. Detailed methodological language, architectures and governance records remain in Documentation.
Begin with people, capability, institutions and systems already present before building duplicates.
Add only the infrastructure, relationships or mechanisms needed to close real gaps.
Participation should grow individual and institutional capability rather than absorb ownership or independence.
Inclusion is a condition of the system, not an afterthought or CSR layer.
Different organisations can adopt, implement, integrate or extend parts of the architecture without one actor owning the whole movement.
Evidence, research, reflection and monitoring feed continuous improvement.
Behaviour & adoption
Behavioural transformation focuses on the everyday cultures that make systems work: responsible enterprise, consumerism, innovation, governance, digital stewardship, cooperation, community stewardship, environmental responsibility and wellbeing.
A simple view
People and organisations should have clear ways to join, adopt, implement, contribute or partner while preserving their own identity and governance.
Documentation
Frameworks, methodology, implementation architectures, governance, research, publications and source documents belong in the documentation library rather than overwhelming this page.
